Seaweed Pressings: Art in the afternoon from the Shoreline

Discover the beauty of the shoreline through art in this relaxing, hands-on workshop. Using freshly gathered seaweed, participants will create stunning natural prints and pressings on beautiful papers.

You may bring your favorite wet seaweed collected from the beach in a sealed bag, and learn how to carefully arrange and press it to capture its intricate shapes, textures, and delicate details. Or Sarah will provide plenty to choose from.  As the seaweed dries, it leaves behind beautiful compositions inspired by the ocean's natural patterns.

We'll explore simple printing and pressing techniques while creating one-of-a-kind coastal artworks that celebrate the beauty of the sea. No experience is necessary - just bring your curiosity and a love of nature.

Bring: If you’d like, bring your favorite wet seaweed in a bag.
Provided: All papers, tools, and art materials. And plenty of seaweed to work with,

Come enjoy a creative afternoon by the sea and leave with a collection of unique shoreline-inspired prints to treasure.
