BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND - DAppers - Dance for All People

DAPpers is BACK for Columbus Day Weekend!

Our first DAPpers class was such a wonderful experience that we’re bringing it back! Join us this Columbus Day Weekend as we welcome Rachel Balaban back to FICC for another afternoon of movement, music and connection.

One participant shared this lovely feedback after our first class:

“I didn’t realize how much connection there was involved... It was great getting to see everyone sort of let loose and just have fun. Everyone was smiling every time I looked around the room. We would love to participate sometime in the future again.”

DAPpers (Dance for All People) is a joyful, multigenerational dance class designed for people with movement challenges and aging bodies. Movements can be enjoyed seated or standing, and absolutely no dance experience is required.

Through dance, music and connection, participants can:

  • Improve coordination, flexibility, balance and gait

  • Strengthen the core and release body tension

  • Build confidence and awareness through movement

  • Explore breath, rhythm and inspiring music

  • Connect and socialize in a friendly, supportive environment

  • Most importantly - move, smile and have fun!

Led by Rachel Balaban, Regional Coordinator for Dance for PD (Parkinson’s Disease).
