Fishers Floats Rules 2026

The treasure hunt and keepsake initiative on Fishers continues!

A limited number of beautiful hand blown glass fishing floats will be hidden on Island throughout the summer for you to find and keep!

Floats are hand blown in Mystic, CT by glass artist Jeffrey P’an. Please visit his studio and see his wonderful work.

DETAILS:

  • There will be 75 floats hidden this summer.

  • Each float is numbered.

  • Once found, please bring your float into the Community Center so we can register you to our leaderboard.

  • Hunting season: June 28 to September 6, 2026

  • Most floats are hidden near beaches, trails, and around public spaces.

  • We ask that you find and keep one float per year. If you find a second, please put it back or re-hide it for someone else to find.

FLOATS ARE NOT HIDDEN IN:

  • Island cemeteries

  • Private yards

  • Flowerbeds

  • In the dunes
