Children's Art Workshop

Young Artists Workshop with Sarah & Zinnia Upson

Animal Collage Self-Portraits

What animal are you? A playful puppy, a wise owl, a colorful butterfly, or a roaring lion? In this fun and imaginative workshop, children will create a one-of-a-kind self-portrait inspired by their favorite animal.

Using colorful papers, magazines, fabric scraps, paint, and found materials, young artists will explore collage techniques while designing a portrait that combines their own unique personality with animal features such as ears, feathers, fur, scales, wings, or fins.

Children will learn how to layer shapes, patterns, colors, and textures to bring their animal selves to life. Along the way, we'll explore creativity, self-expression, and storytelling through art while having plenty of fun.

Each participant will leave with a unique mixed-media artwork that celebrates who they are through the wonderful world of animals.

No experience necessary. All materials provided. Just bring your imagination!
