A crowd of about 50 gathered outside the Community Center on August 14th for an authentic Jamaican Night Dinner. We served jerk chicken and pork, rice and peas, fried plantains, and a green salad, followed by lemon and coconut cake for dessert. The dinner was delicious and everyone raved about the grilled meats, and the jerk sauce in particular. Our tables were decorated with solar lights which began to twinkle after the darkness spread over the street. It was a delicious dinner and everyone enjoyed the change of cuisine.
