UVA Professor Sherri Moore delivered an informative and interesting talk entitled “Common Law – Common Sense,” to a packed crowd in the large conference room. She delivered an engaging presentation and shared important legal tips and pointers, including the importance of having a durable power of attorney (especially for grown children over age 18), retail protection laws, as well as individual rights surrounding requests and interrogation of the police. Sherri was a very dynamic speaker and the audience enjoyed her presentation, young and old alike. The talk was followed by a Q&A and a cocktail reception hosted by Zooey Brown and Staley Sednaoui. Sherri has promised to make her notes available to those who couldn’t make it and we will let everyone know when this happens.
